How We Started
Ashley has always had a thing for thrifting, going to estate sales, all things vintage, and figuring out how to repurpose items.
Molly has always had a passion for food and started her culinary career at San Diego Culinary Institute in 2010. She worked under Trey Foshee at George’s at the Cove California Modern for numerous years, owns Pandemic Pizza, and now does catering events on the side.
In the beginning of August 2020, Ashley wanted to create a beautiful picnic for Molly’s birthday. The idea came from being amidst a pandemic that required al fresco dining.
She included florals, a charcuterie board, fresh organic juices, an adorable vintage-inspired umbrella, linen, glassware and candles-all included with the backdrop of the ocean and Downtown San Diego. Molly shed tears when she saw what Ashley had created for her! Lots of love was put into the picnic and she couldn’t have asked for more.
Molly then inspired and encouraged Ashley shortly after to create picnics for other people to enjoy as well. Of course Ashley couldn’t do it alone without her chef of a best friend.
And from there grew Outside Together Co.
